Job Description Summary
The Traffic and Shipping Leader is responsible for the daily leadership and execution in all aspects of the shipping process. This includes proper government documentation and traceability of all spare parts and engines. This role will be responsible for engine canning management which includes supervising a workforce in a union environment. In addition to front line leadership, this role coordinates with both internal and external customers and logistics companies to ensure customer needs are met.

Role and Responsibilities
Manage and perform daily Shipping and logistics operations to ensure reliability and consistency for our customers
Oversight and management of logistics employees
Support logistic team initiatives in safety, quality and Lean
Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting
Manage shipment of material via government and commercial systems
Management of RFS, Canning and government shipping programs
Work on cross functional teams at the site and across the Business
Manages engine canning and shipping processes for multiple engine lines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years shipping/receiving, logistics, manufacturing or related experience) + minimum of 3 years shipping/receiving, logistics, manufacturing or related experience
Desired Qualifications
Government relations experience is a plus
