Job Description Summary

The Lynn Component Manufacturing (LCM) Senior Materials & Execution Leader is accountable for strategic processes and planning to drive business objectives for delivery, inventory, and effective stakeholder communication. In this role you will develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3-5 salaried direct report employees as well as dotted line reports from other organizations

  • Define and execute short and long-term strategy to meet business and customer needs

  • Drive cross functional collaboration (shops, Sourcing, suppliers, etc.) to identify issues which will affect delivery or inventory and drive proactive resolution using problem solving techniques

  • Lead strategic planning

  • Analyze demand signals and how they affect the operation including changes that would be necessary and advise the business on the acceptability

  • Spearhead capacity analysis

  • Ensure data accuracy, manage material input, monitor material input for issues and drive solutions through connections with the Sourcing team

  • Be the focal point for prioritization on issues affecting delivery (i.e. MRB, constraints, allocations.)

  • Be a main focal point for communicating product/program status, strategies, risks and recommendations to customers and senior leaders

  • Drive inventory management

  • Provide focal point for outside vendor prioritization and performance monitoring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Operation leadership (including inventory management, facilitation and / or production control)

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to use data to drive outcomes within the plant

  • Experience applying Lean principles to drive improved cycles time and throughput

  • Proven leadership experience in an operations / production facility

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Experience leading in a union environment

  • Ability to train and motivate others
