Job Description Summary
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles within their own part of the function. Strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space.
Plant 4 technical process ownership for critical structural components for aircraft
Engines. Specific focus on machining (milling, turning, etc) and part assemblies (welding, bolting, brazing, etc.).
Define, improve, and control Plant 4 production process including tooling and equipment.
Mentor, coach, and develop Plant 4 Manufacturing and Quality Engineers.
Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
Communicate across direct organization.
Connect the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions.
Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.
Communicate across the function in area of expertise.
Translate technical processes and methods to train and empower production employees in the manufacturing techniques required for greatest yield effectiveness & equipment capability.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years technical experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment

Desired Characteristics :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Prior experience with machining (milling, turning, EDM, grinding, etc.) of high temperature alloys.
Self-motivated to get the solution with reasonable amount of time and financial support
Communicate effectively with operators, peers, and management, in both written and oral manners
Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions using structured methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), five-why, Kepner Tregoe (KT), etc.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Strong influencing skills
