General Electric Lead Process Engineer - Broach in Lynn, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for the Broaching special process. Maintains, develops and improves processes and operations. Creates and maintains process/work instructions to ensure process control, stability, and conformance. Responsible for improvements leading to cost reduction, productivity, and product quality.
Act as Special Process Owner and expert for the broaching process
Explore, define and lead implementation of New Technologies supporting continues process improvement and current business needs.
Drive changes targeting Business and Quality Procedures improvements.
Act as owner and ensure they are followed.
Provide process expert support in New Product Implementation projects.
Drive/ Support EHS and Quality RCA’s, definition and implementation of Corrective Actions/ Preventive Actions. Drive/ Support EHS and Ergonomics projects
Lead/ Participate in Projects/ Mission Based Teams, targeting Changes/ Improvements and deliver them on time
Take an active part in production meetings and take the lead on solving technical issues, overcome obstacles which are impeding continuous material flow in production and process excellence
Manage, develop, and implement all the technical enablers of a safe, quality and efficient repair process for the broaching process
Continuous monitoring of Process Quality
Rework rates, Process First Time Yield, Delivery (TAT, OTD) and Cost metrics for exceptions and trends, define and implement corrective and improvement actions, use data for prioritization
Apply LEAN principles and tools in everyday work. Asking for help and sharing best practices
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
