General Electric Lead Process Engineer - Broach in Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

The Process Engineer will be responsible for the Broaching special process. Maintains, develops and improves processes and operations. Creates and maintains process/work instructions to ensure process control, stability, and conformance. Responsible for improvements leading to cost reduction, productivity, and product quality.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Act as Special Process Owner and expert for the broaching process

  • Explore, define and lead implementation of New Technologies supporting continues process improvement and current business needs.

  • Drive changes targeting Business and Quality Procedures improvements.

  • Act as owner and ensure they are followed.

  • Provide process expert support in New Product Implementation projects.

  • Drive/ Support EHS and Quality RCA’s, definition and implementation of Corrective Actions/ Preventive Actions. Drive/ Support EHS and Ergonomics projects

  • Lead/ Participate in Projects/ Mission Based Teams, targeting Changes/ Improvements and deliver them on time

  • Take an active part in production meetings and take the lead on solving technical issues, overcome obstacles which are impeding continuous material flow in production and process excellence

  • Manage, develop, and implement all the technical enablers of a safe, quality and efficient repair process for the broaching process

  • Continuous monitoring of Process Quality

  • Rework rates, Process First Time Yield, Delivery (TAT, OTD) and Cost metrics for exceptions and trends, define and implement corrective and improvement actions, use data for prioritization

  • Apply LEAN principles and tools in everyday work. Asking for help and sharing best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
