General Electric Lead Manufacturing Specialist - Material Planning & Execution in Lynn, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepares and updates production schedules and purchasing needs
Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs
Optimize inventory and process improvements
Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
Communicate across direct organization
Present to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Deliver products as part of a team
Connect the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions
Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
Communicate across the function in area of expertise
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in materials or production planning and execution or related supply chain roles)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials or production planning and execution or related supply chain roles
Desired Characteristics
Prior experience in manufacturing operations
Strong organizational skills and data management experience.
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Knowledge and experience working in a machine shop environment
Understanding of LEAN principals
Possess leadership capabilities
Prior experience working in a Union environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
GE systems experience (CAS, IMPACT, AMT, AMPS) a plus
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
