General Electric Engine Technology & Test Senior Quality Specialist in Lynn, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
The Engine Technology & Test Senior Quality Specialist will serve as the focal for all test and engine system quality related issues. You will leverage product knowledge, data analytics and customer feedback to develop a strategy and drive improvement for the customer. You will be responsible for leading, updating and creating engine system and test related quality procedures. You will spearhead the Lynn Engine Assembly and Test training strategy and manage the Instrumentation Calibration Lab. This will be a customer facing role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and implement corrective actions for test quality issues and technical processes with in Lynn Engine Assembly
Manage conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
Manage Instrumentation Calibration Lab for the Lynn site
Lead and create LATO Training Strategy for both hourly and exempt staff
Input and influence decisions within engine assembly and quality systems
Responsible for the overall quality for the engine systems and test value stream for production and development engine lines
Investigate test and engine system related quality issues and create presentations describing investigation/action status
Coordinate with performance engineering on performance related test issues
Recommend changes to test procedures defined in test specification data folders
Lead process improvements using data analytics, proven technologies and vested approaches and methods Present to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams about how improvements interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Present to plant leader at bi-weekly quality meeting
Support engine sickbays
Review and signoff test log sheets
Conduct quarterly workstation audits
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Engine Testing).
A minimum of 5 years in Quality Management, Quality Engineering or Engine Testing / Systems
Aviation Quality Systems experience
AS9100 knowledge and experience
Engine system and configuration knowledge
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Demonstrated ability to create project plan strategy and execute to milestones
