Job Description Summary
The GE Edison Works Delivery Engineer will provide leadership and execution for product design, quality and manufacturing process review associated with core Aviation engine platforms.
Includes oversight and review of design requirement flow down and quality assurance of turbomachinery components and manufacturing processes
Work cross functionally with quality, design, and manufacturing engineers to ensure that processes and quality plans fully account for all relevant design requirements
Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods. Identify and implement producibility improvement projects in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Partnering with all levels of the organization including manufacturing employees to enhance part producibility with the ability to make immediate impact to design
Communicates across multiple organizations including manufacturing, quality, and design engineering
Presents to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Connects the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions
Works on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
Communicates across the function in area of expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Design Engineering

Technical process ownership for structural, rotor and combustion hardware for aircraft engines
Experience in CNC machining including work with rotating parts
Experience at a manufacturing company within the Aviation industry (or similar) supporting, process improvement, manufacturing quality processes or design engineering
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and understanding of GD&T
Prior experience with machining, welding, and Non-Destructive Testing (FPI and X-Ray)
Self-motivated to get the solution with reasonable amount of time and financial support
Communicate effectively with operators, peers, and management, in both written and oral manners
Experience using lean principles to solve problems
Experience using ISO 9001
Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
