Job Description Summary

LM Wind Power is growing and expects this growth to continue, expanding existing production lines and opening new factories. To strengthen our execution of manufacturing equipment global projects, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Project Management department.

LM Wind Power is world leading when it comes to blade design and manufacturing. Today the project management department consists of 20 colleagues in Denmark, Brazil, India and China.

Senior Project Manager Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

The Senior Project Manager has the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.

  • Provide leadership and guidance for the project team to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives until targets/KPI’s are achieved

  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives

  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities

  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project

  • Assign adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes

  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and facilitates the project management team meetings

  • Monitor staffperformance and complete performance reviews

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, risks and issues, communicating across leadership

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs

  • Manage project scope and changes

  • Manage continuously quality control and participate in quality issue resolution

  • Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as needed

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team and other key stakeholders

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas

  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project- and program team members

  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish transparency, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills

  • Tools: MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; CA Clarity PPM

  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts

  • Proven experience in successfully leading & deliveringcomplex projects and programs

  • Good experience presenting to steering groups/executive sponsors

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral to all levels of the organization

  • Excellent team-building skills

  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study

  • 10+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects

  • 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment

  • High level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership

  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs

  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective

  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
