General Electric Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality Capex in Lunderskov, Denmark

Role Summary:

Do you want to work in our supplier quality commodity team, being responsible for leading the capex (equipment) qualification and supplier development activities? You will be responsible for managing qualifications, continuous improvement of tools and processes to manage supplier quality capex. Finally you will be performing supplier assessments and supplier audits. In this position you will get the possibility for influencing our capex quality and development.

Essential Responsibilities:

The SQC team consists of 8 highly motivated colleagues driving the qualifications of raw materials, components as well as the supplier improvement processes. Working with supplier agreements, audits, business reviews with suppliers and onsite support for suppliers is a natural and important part for the team responsibility. The SQC team is part of the global Quality team, and you will work in close co-operation with the Capex team in Industrialization. You will be based in our Technology Center in Lunderskov, Denmark.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead and mange audit and development within supplier quality capex, such as performing supplier assessment and develop suppliers.

  • Negotiate and sign supplier quality agreements, perform onsite FAI (First Article Inspection) and participate in factory acceptance test in co-operation with global sourcing.

  • Non-conformity handling related to capex.

  • Training of suppliers.

  • Work with our capex supplier quality system.


  • We expect that you have a background as Bachelor or Masters within mechanical/manufacturing/metallurgy or material.

  • You have major working experience within equipment manufacturing, including significant experience in supplier quality and development, preferably from the wind industry.

  • You are a certified lead auditor within 9001, and preferably you have a project management certification.

  • You have knowledge of manufacturing, such as fabrications, machining, coating and welding, electrical equipment, raw material processes, NDT testing, metal structures, machines and equipment.

  • You have hands-on experience with the quality system processes.
