Job Description Summary
Are you passionate about driving change and do you want to facilitate the LEAN transformation for our Engineering & Technology teams in LM Wind Power?
We are looking for a passionate and energetic LEAN Leader, who will define and execute a LEAN implementation strategy and roadmap in Engineering & Technology (E&T) function.
You will be part of the Technology Development & Materials (TD&M) team within E&T and will work closely with diverse teams of highly engaged engineers and leaders across the whole E&T organization, committed to our LEAN transformation. You will also be able to leverage the wider network of LEAN experts within LM Wind Power and GE Renewable Energy.
This position requires you to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and dynamic environment, leveraging strong interpersonal skills. As the lead change facilitator, the primary keys to success in this position will be the ability to identify and drive operational improvements at all levels whilst utilizing a hands-on approach to create value and secure buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
In this position, you will utilize both your LEAN experience and your experience with change and project management in combination with training, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve specific financial and non-financial objectives. You will also play a key role in developing and sustaining appropriate LEAN capabilities across all Engineering & Technology (E&T) functions at LM Wind Power, thereby providing a solid foundation for daily management and Continuous Improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Define & Implement Lean approach to manage work and people resulting in improved volume, quality of work and productivity.
Optimize development and transactional processes in engineering with the use of lean techniques. This will point out possible waste, eliminate the identified waste sources by creating short and mid-term state maps which improve on the process value.
Able to drive effective Kaizen events using a variety of Lean tools including Transactional Value Stream Mapping
Able to guide teams in systematic & specific problem-solving techniques in Kaizen events.
Able to help teams to articulate the expected and measurable outcomes of a lean activity.
Ability to create a strategic Hoshin-Kanri (HK) vision and roadmap through HK creation, to cascading tactical execution of initiatives through the organization.
Champion Lean culture and support people leaders on their personal LEAN development.
Ability to follow-up on events to gain desired outcome
Required Qualifications & Desired Characteristics
6+ years of hands-on experience in driving LEAN transformation in an engineering/technical environment
Demonstrated capability and success in continuous improvements in an industrial environment.
Assertive and strong influencer
Project management experience preferred
Proactive, structured, and methodical with great operational execution skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Acts with humility, transparency and integrity and leads by attracting people to thoughts and ideas with these values
Solid business acumen
Experience in running an operation with financial responsibility preferred
