General Electric Lead Manufacturing Principles Engineer in Lozienica, Poland

Job Description Summary

Principles Engineers develop the standards, guidelines, and layouts needed to optimize flow within our processes. This position will work closely with new footprint designs, new product designs, and new process designs to ensure that an integrated approach at product flow is considered from the beginning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Individuals on this team must be capable of assisting or driving complex projects in an international, cross-functional environment.

  • Individuals must be capable of applying principles of lean and flow concepts to early/emerging technologies within the field of developing wind turbine blades.

  • Uses indepth understanding of key business drivers to accomplish own work with high degree of freedom and flexibility. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • This job is for an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college. For candidates without an accredited degree, 5+ years advanced experience in wind turbine engineering is acceptable.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Highly capable in the English language.

  • 3+ years experience in wind turbine blade manufacturing strongly preferred.

  • Experience in demonstrating lean principles preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
