General Electric Staff Data & Information Architect in Loves Park, Illinois

Role Summary:

Works on multiple Data & Information projects as a project leader or internal consultant. Works on projects for components of the domain.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Participate in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction

  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint

  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level

  • Participate in the Data Governance Council

  • Support the development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses

  • Research and evaluate emerging data technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities

  • Coach and mentor team members

  • Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Architecture, Software, or Information Technology or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology or Software
