Role Summary:

GE Digital's Industrial Managed Services team has a deep global portfolio of unique subject matter expertise which we use to generate dramatic results in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) every single day. Essential Responsibilities:

The GE Digital Industrial Managed Services team focuses on working with customers to make operational risk versus cost decisions. This individual will have a knowledge and understanding of FME and equipment strategies and will be able to provide customer guidance on changing preventative maintenance practices.

The Senior Strategy Engineer will actively participate in driving a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability. This individual will have a solid base of knowledge and mastery of specific industry skills and will focus on teaching younger engineers while leveraging the expertise of more senior engineers to fill their knowledge gaps. In this role, you will:

  • Place customer satisfaction at the center of everything you do, ensuring customers are super-pleased with our continuous consulting services which are delivered daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly

  • Work directly with customers to help them leverage the latest software technology, data science, machine learning, and industry best practices to transform their industrial processes

  • Leverage the team's deep industrial expertise to provide operational support to customers, helping them make data driven decisions

  • Drive and participate in a global team culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and open collaboration

  • Quickly learn and master industrial processes, industrial methodologies, and assets related to assigned industry verticals

  • Quickly master cutting edge predictive analytics, asset management, and data science software and tools. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master's preferred) in engineering or similar degree in science or technology

  • 3 to 10 years of industry relevant work experienceEligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the location where position is hired.

  • Must be willing to travel 50% Desired Characteristics:

  • Specific Software Experience in the Following Areas Desired: Meridium, SAP, Maximo, SmartSignal, Matlab, Maple, Vibration Analysis, System 1/ Emerson, SAS, ExcelTechnical Expertise:

  • Proactively makes or recommends decisions based on in-depth analysis; Able to define critical problems to be solved; Identifies data sources required to execute analytic; With guidance from manager, able to select and conduct advanced analytic techniques.

  • Demonstrates ability to diagnose and solve basic to intermediate issues; Able to isolate moderately complex scenarios down to actionable items within designated job function; Can be utilized to problem solve at customer sites as the GE representative.

  • Regularly updates product knowledge to understand new features and limitations. Understands the primary competitors and partners in the product space.
