The Materials Leader is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of materials flow and for maintaining control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost and warehouse.
As the Materials Leader, you will:
Lead / coachMaterials team
Deliverinventory commitments, while ensuring materials for 100% customer and servicefulfillments
Managesite inventory / targets for raw material, finished goods, and inventoryturns
Defineand implement Reorder Points (ROP) for materials to achieve inventorytargets, with active root cause analysis on shortages
Drivestrategy for material replenishment to reduce supplier lead-times and RM / WIPinventory value
Managesupplier relationship for key components (drivers, PCA, metal), includingoptimizing replenishment (VMI, Consignment, Milk runs, etc.)
CreateLean visual management of materials from Suppliers-warehouse-Asm Line
Definematerial obsolescence reserve targets
Leadsitewide physical inventory process to achieve inventory accuracy targets
Coordinatewith Sales / FFT on IBP forecast to order long lead-time components
Maintaina safe work environment by implementing and enforcing practices that adhere toall relevant environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulations
Bachelor’sDegree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of5 years of experience in management of materials and sourcing within a designand manufacturing environment
Bachelor’sDegree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Manufacturing Engineering or arelated discipline from an accredited college or university
SAP experience in a manufacturingenvironment
Experiencein the lighting industry, preferably LED lighting
Ability to driveand manage change initiatives in a matrix environment
Ability to deliverresults in an ambiguous environment
Ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously
Strongwritten and oral communication skills
Stronginterpersonal and leadership skills
