Job Description Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to manage GE Healthcare’s IT Team’s software, cloud & servicessourcing by establishing first class global software license and professional service agreements. The position requires a savvy business professional with deep software knowledge and top notch licensing, supplier management, negotiation, sourcing, and project management experience. This challenging environment demands an individual who will consistently deliver double-digit deflation, lead challenging negotiations with the software industry, master complicated licensing models (like on-prem, hosted and cloud), establish and lead sourcing processes, work in a matrixed environment, develop strong relationships with both senior IT leadership, and with C-level executives within the largest software companies in the industry. This position is also accountable for delivering commercial, financial, and business objectives as related to information technology goods and services such as managed software services/cloud contracts across the ERP, Finance, Engineering & Service functions managed by the DT Organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering business framework agreements and enterprise license agreements for use of software within GE globally for any range of suppliers such as enterprise software companies to new and emerging SaaS providers

  • Develop short and long term strategies for GEHC to embrace cloud and SaaS opportunities while leveraging existing GE investments

  • Work with other Business Unit sourcing teams on cross company acquisition, service, and supplier initiatives including RFI/RFP’s and single source negotiations or renegotiations.

  • Collaborate with IT Leaders in setting realistic but challenging operations goals and objectives.

  • Develop sourcing plans to integrate Business Software needs into a global commodity team including benchmarking suppliers, contracts, and services and evaluating various different Business Unit level requirements, existing opportunities, or new initiatives. This includes setting DT sourcing strategies and executing those strategies to deliver material improvements on quality, price, and service

  • Collaborate with Senior IT Leadership across the Business to drive IT strategic imperatives

  • Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sourcing and software licensing experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with principles and procedures related to licensing terms and conditions

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with financial information as a means of decision making, pricing comparisons & benchmarking

  • Minimum 4 years of experience negotiating at the highest levels of a supplier

  • JD, MBA or Masters Degree

The salary range for this position is $90-135K. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus .Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
