Work in close collaboration with academic research sites and clinical partners in and around London to optimize Cardiac MRI solutions

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Combine knowledge of MRI and clinical needs to guide definition and development of new MRI applications or capabilities towards automation & simplification of an MR exam, and improving the reliability from patient setup, data acquisition to image reconstruction, analysis and interpretation

  • GE lead on collaborative projects with academic partners to generate results that are in alignment with GE roadmap and goals

  • Assist in scanning of human subjects, protocol optimization, and evaluation of image quality

  • Work with a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to translate promising prototypes into product by designing protocols, traveling to partner sites for installation and testing, and tracking progress of clinical studies

  • Providing expert counsel and training to customers using applications under development

  • Use broad expertise in MR and applications to help resolve quality issues both with product as well as prototype applications

  • Summarize results in preparation for possible regulatory submissions, external scientific publications, and marketing

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Certified Magnetic Resonance Technologist, ARRT (MR) or equivalent experience, advanced degree (Bachelors or Masters) is a plus

  • Solid experience in MR imaging or closely related field

  • Knowledge of Cardiac MRI clinical applications is highly appreciated

  • Flexible and willing to travel approx. 8 days/month

  • Experience with research collaborations and clinical research studies

  • Familiar with the relevant GE Healthcare MRI product portfolio and clinical optimization
