General Electric Regional Human Resources Director, GE Renewable Energy Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas

Role Summary:

The Regional HR Director for LM Wind Power will partner closely with the Head of Operations for Americas and the regional leadership team to provide HR expertise for the full scope of the Human Resource function. This includes professional & hourly employee relations, policies and practices, training, org change and talent development. This role supports 2,900 employees including 4 manufacturing plants (1 in Canada, 2 in USA, 1 in Brazil) and the regional

leadership team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Close strategic partnership with the Head of Operations for Americas and the regional leadership team, particularly in Finance and Sales

  • Support the completion of integration of a high - potential acquisition with a focus on preserving speed of operations

  • Oversee operations in Americas to ensure full compliance with all GE HR policies and processes

  • Deploy and execute HR processes at local level and ensuring compliance with labor laws

  • Ensure succession planning and workforce planning in line with business needs for business

  • Define and execute on budget, sizing and effectiveness (quality and cost) of the HR Function in the region

  • Ensure high employee engagement and retention strategy at region / country level

  • Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, career development, and restructuring

  • Liaise with the respective HR Managers to complete any integration programs at local level

  • Lead the region in defining roles and missions, designing org structure and facilitating team performance

  • Ensure that hourly workers have the training needed to successfully perform their work

  • Drive HR processes such as People Review, organizational effectiveness and performance management

  • Responsible for compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization's goals and programs

  • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment

  • Report to the Senior HR Leader for LM Wind Power where there are 4 solid reports to lead HR in each of the respective blade manufacturing facilities

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the human resources function

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of best practices for managing a non-union workforce

  • Fluent in English

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Experience working in an international environment or global team

  • Experience with leading multiple plants and with a union workforce

  • Ability to navigate effectively in a highly matrix environment; strong stakeholder management

  • Change agent; able to confront ambiguity, demonstrate agility and work in fast paced environment

  • Proven ability to engage, listen to, and welcome employees as part of cultural integration

  • Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, employee advocate, and listening skills
