Job Description
The Supplier Development Manager /Supplier Quality Engineer at GE Additive plays a crucial role in enhancing supplier relationships and integration. This involves overseeing supplier activities at various stages of development and integration, following GE Additive's established instructions and software. The job encompasses:
Sourcing
Proceed to supplier evaluation and qualification through audits during the sourcing process for new components or second sourcing.
Participate actively to supplier approval.
Development
Manage APQP activities (or similar) with the supplier, sourcing, and engineering to ensure the conformity of new products.
Facilitate the consolidation of products specification during the development and the creation of the related control plans.
Proceed to product, equipment, and process validation for first components through audits and documentation controls (FAI).
Facilitate FMEA activities during development.
Identify supplier improvement opportunities and drive the related actions.
Nonconformities management
Document and communicate the nonconformities to suppliers through the current standard procedures and templates.
Support and validate supplier root causes analysis and corrective actions.
Manage Supplier Deviation Requests.
Support and facilitate the control of defective components to ensure containment plans.
Supplier performance development
Monitor and leads supplier performance through defined KPI and regular follow up of critical suppliers.
Conduct re-audits and technical reviews for critical claims resolution.
Internal support and system development
Conduct internal audits (if assigned).
Actively support strategical Supplier Quality Management projects.
Facilitate change process
Actively participate in Quality Management System development and LEAN based workshops.
Required Qualifications
You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, automotive informatics or a comparable field of study with a focus on quality management or/and completed training in one of the above areas
You have several years of experience in quality management of suppliers from order placement to industrialization to series support of hardware and software purchased parts
You have experience in supplier audits
You speak fluently German and English
You have a high level of competence on methods within quality assurance, e.g. methods for component releases, reporting and supplier management
You have knowledge in handling product creation, product release and series processes
Ability and willingness to travel as required, including internationally, up to 50%
