General Electric Strategic Account Manager - North East/Yorkshire UK in Leeds, United Kingdom

Job Description Summary

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will build key relationships with a range of clients within the NHS Trusts and Private clinics but also involved in selling complex technical products and/or services. The successful candidate is expected to cover the North East and Yorkshire region UK and have the competence, and desire, to progress to a more senior role in the coming years. In addition, this role will act as a key supporter to the Sales Director in taking the UK&I business forwards.

This is a key role in ensuring the alignment of Sales Specialists within your territory, and building customer relationships for the long term, whilst generating sales & revenue.

Job Description


  • They are the key interface between the business and the assigned customer accounts (owns the customer)

  • Understands the changing NHS landscape and the role of networks at a wider and local level

  • Owns the customer or technical escalation and response to the customer

  • Works through all opportunities for their accounts, leveraging for new business, O&U, non-contract revenue, etc.

  • Responsible for the management of the CRM tools, maintaining all opportunities and relevant account and customer information to support accurate forecasting

  • Look to continuously improve the Customer experience. Working with the wider business to identify opportunities and deliver improvements

  • Maintain up to date information system data (installed base including additions/deletions, service coverage, asset sheets & purchased services)

  • Work across the matrixed organisation giving customers one point of contact, whilst maximing GE opportunities with clients.

  • Working with sales leaders and sales teams to increase prospects and drive closure of opportunities

  • Providing pricing strategy and insure pricing compliance for segment opportunities

  • Forecasting orders and sales of assigned territory and submit monthly report

  • Representing the company at trade association meetings to promote product and company

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) or equivalent knowledge or experience or Significant experience in selling in a medical, healthcare or technical field or Life Sciences field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Able to travel to meet customers and conduct business meetings virtually

  • Valid motor vehicle license

  • Previous experience in sales

  • Previous experience selling capital goods

  • Significant direct experience selling “solutions” to CXO levels as well as technical decision makers
