RoleSummary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an ARMO Technician (Wireline) in Leduc, Alberta.

EssentialResponsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, test, assemble,disassemble and perform visual inspection of electronic andelectro-mechanical assemblies

  • Assist in reworking, repairing andmodifying non-conforming equipment

  • Perform complex and difficult testswith minimal instruction and documentation

  • May build test fixtures andconfigure test stations and systems

  • Analyze and interpret data fromenvironmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems

  • Provide technical support to othergroups and co-workers

  • Provide mentoring/training tojunior technicians in areas of proven competence

  • Inspection and disposition ofelectronic/mechanical parts and equipment

  • Compliance with HS&E policiesand procedures

  • Enter data into SAP for the repairand shipment of products

  • Handles special projects asassigned

  • Compliance with HS&E policiesand procedures

  • Enter data into SAP for the repairand shipment of products

  • Able to complete special assignedprojects

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalenteducation

  • 3+ years of experience working as aLab / ARMO Technician

  • Basic level of analytical abilityto find solutions to difficult technical problems

  • Experienced with Root CauseAnalysis

  • Ability to read and interpretblueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and followformal procedures and maintenance practices

  • Advanced skills in soldering andassembling of electro-mechanical devices

  • Proficient in the use ofmulti-meters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and otherbasic instruments

  • Proficient in the use ofmeasurement and gauging equipment and processes.

  • Advanced computer skills

DesiredCharacteristics:

  • Technical diploma or Associatesdegree in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical or Mechanical field

  • Experience with Wireline products

  • Previous SAP experience
