Job Description Summary

Within GSPO (Global Service Part Operations), the in-country Service Parts Operations Specialist is responsible for the management of warehousing and transportation domestically. You will partner closely with the country service team in managing all service parts related operations, initiate improvements in 3rd Party Warehousing logistics operations and with transportation suppliers, execute custom formalities for shipments, and facilitate a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive strong customer focus by working closely with peers and functions on in-country part needs, planning, parts escalation, and inventory management

  • Overcome roadblocks to ensure shipments are made in line with internal and external customer’s requirements, company policy, international trade regulations

  • Drive standardization of transportation processes across in-country, domestics network improvement to cost down activities

  • Responsible for On-Time Delivery, Cycle Time, Warehouse KPIs with a keen focus on continuous improvement

  • Trace and track international freight for urgent shipments, accelerate where possible and ensure mitigation of potential delays. Manage last mile domestics as required.

  • Monitor and execute shipments clearance for Import and Export for Parts Distribution. Work closely with broker and engage appropriate functions (regulatory affairs, customs, engineering, supply chain, etc.) to provide supporting documents to enable clearance

  • Ensure key Warehouse activities are completed

  • Maintain and develop relationships with current, new and potential service providers in 3rd warehousing, both international and domestics providers

  • Keep abreast of market developments, best practices and drive transportation and logistics variable cost productivity projects, initiatives, and programs

  • Collaborate with and be the single point-of-contact for Service for parts operations and related matters or escalation

  • Align with regional teams to implement frameworks, processes, and systems to improve parts operations

  • Lead or participate in process, productivity, and lean improvements initiatives and support any other duties as assigned by Operations & Logistics Leaders

Quality Specific Goals

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Proficient knowledge, understanding and support for International Trade Compliance, identify report and resolve any trade compliance issues

  • Proficient knowledge, understanding and leadership for operating within security programs such as CT-PAT, national Customs trade regulatory to ensure that warehousing, packaging, and transportation requirements are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar disciplines with 4 years’ experience or more

  • Experience in import and export operations, customs, freight management and warehousing best practices in local market

  • Proven track record in logistics performance & logistics management, process standardization, and vendor improvement.

  • Good communication and coordination skill with internal customers and outside vendors

  • Cross business unit collaboration to leverage on synergy and productivity

  • Problem solving requires strong quantitative analysis skills

  • Proficient in Oracle and MS Office

  • High energy, go-getter, results focused
