Job Description Summary

The selected candidate will be working as a process excellence leader for Asia pole, reporting to the APACSA operations leader and will be part of the Service Operations team of Gas Power in Asia.

As a Process Excellence leader, the candidate is expected to work with transparency, innovation, and zeal with the internal Operations team, and frontline service execution team comprising of Contract Performance Manager (CPM)/ Customer Services Leaders (CSLs) and service directors. The Asia process excellence leader will be dedicated to improving the operational rigors, processes, system landscape of the services business. He / She will be responsible to help the operations drive the planning, execution, and closeout of the service delivery organization. In this role, the candidate must also be flexible to adapt based on existing business situations to harmonize and simplify operating mechanisms wherever possible with proper stakeholder agreements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the processes governing the services landscape of heavy-duty gas turbines

  • Regional champion for all global standard process discussion, implementation/roll-out and adoption amongst the frontline

  • Be a voice of the customers (frontline team) for Asia while participating on global standard work discussions

  • Stand-in to run key regional operating rigors as necessary, and manage stakeholders

  • Expected to think out of the box in simplifying processes for the frontline team.

  • Comes with a lean mindset, and can confront the status quo to improve efficiency of the wider team, and able to simplify the daily deliverables for the team

  • Can quickly learn and recognize the various requirements across milestones of outage planning and execution, and is able to guide the frontline team, and operations team on best practices

  • Help define standard work procedures to improve operational efficiency

  • Define and run key cross-functional calls to improve services, parts, and repairs performance in the region

  • Define and drive key business metrics to report sub-region performance, help-needed items and pursue continuous improvement.

  • Proficient in data analytics, understanding of our tools, systems, processes, and procedures to assist the region team as necessary

  • Guide the training and certification of regional CPM/CSL group for continuous customer delight

  • Able to break down complex business problems and provide solution using available systems and tools.

  • Be a system expert for key operations systems to be able to train the CPMs as and when needed with necessary changes

  • Assist the Ops team members and is open to take on different projects and assignments to assist the Asia Pole.

  • Able to participate in global functional calls, which requires liaison with other regional operations team to implement best practices

  • Ability to identify and operate global standard vs local custom solutions, with a single goal of process excellence

  • Can come up with new solutions that helps deliver to the organizational priority of the services organization

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Min 5 years of working experience

  • Comes with a Lean mindset

  • Strong analytical, program management, project management, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in operating Microsoft suite tools – Excel, Word, Power point, and more

  • Ability and willingness to travel (20%)

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to cooperate and influence customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

  • Ability to work independently

  • Experience of working on data tools like Smartsheet, Tableau, or MS Access

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
