The Pricing Director for the Asia Pole collaborates with regional commercial & business stakeholders and the global pricing team to execute profit-enhancing pricing strategies. Responsibilities include developing pricing recommendations for aftermarket parts, services, complex projects (termed "Upgrades"), and multiyear contracts.

This role requires a candidate with strong commercial acumen who can influence sales and business stakeholders, work closely with regional commercial teams to implement pricing strategies informed by data and market intelligence, and partner with the global team to establish essential pricing processes and tools. The Pricing Director is also expected to assume a stakeholders role in driving strategic pricing recommendations within the region.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the development & implementation of the pole’s price plan. Collaborate with global pricing team on targets and strategy.

  • Partner closely with the sales, commercial operations, and business team in developing winning price strategies for their portfolio of deals while still meeting key pricing KPIs.

  • Utilize data to generate strategic pricing insights. Formulate strategies and actions plans and align Global & Regional stakeholders to execute.

  • Utilize monthly price realization results to evaluate trends and implement corrective actions to meet OP Plan.

  • Establish a regional monthly price review process with senior business stakeholders to review pricing KPIs and viable win /loss results. Recommend actions to meet orders price targets.

  • Utilize “Lean” process methods and new pricing tools (PROS/CPQ) to enhance the Deal Desk capability and expand capacity within the region.

  • Be the “Pricing Thought Leader” for the pole. Conduct regular training and communication with the commercial teams.

  • Own the Pricing delegation of authority process for the region. Candidate will approve regional price deviations and will support HQ price reviews.

  • Train, guide and develop the team. Ensure proper succession plan is in place.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance or related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in Pricing, Product Stakeholders, Strategic Marketing, or relevant commercial experience.

  • Ability to synthesize marketing and pricing information to draw insights and actionable recommendations (e.g., structure the problem, collect data, identify issues, and present results)

  • Pricing Deal Desk experience

  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) from the Professional Pricing Society

  • PROS, CPQ or Tableau experience.
