General Electric Omnichannel Quoting Technical Product Manager in Krakow, Poland

Job Description Summary

This role will be responsible for the Product strategy for the Headless Commerce Product to deliver Omni-Channel Quoting capability coherently across the globe and across multiple channels. At its core the product requires the integration exposure and intelligent automation of existing CPQ processes to allow customer and users across channels to request quotes and place orders via a consistent experience. The core channels consist of end customers via website, commercial sales teams via mobile apps and channel partners via a dedicated CRM. This role will require taking the technical integration and automation framework built to date and identifying and delivering further advanced and niche business critical and differentiator capabilities.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for planning the Headless commerce/omni-channel quoting roadmap and identifying and delivering features, partnering with teams across Commercial, CDx, ICP, Supply Chain, Global Services, Data & Analytics and regional teams.

  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge in the Headless Commerce and Omnichannel Quoting area to help the organization gain the competitive edge; Actively researches industry trends and best practices to employ in product and technology strategy to be able to quickly identify, prioritize and communicate to stakeholders the business benefits and OKRs/KPIs of required features in the short and long term.

  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between Product Owner/Functional Stakeholders, product manager and Development/Delivery team and in parallel demonstrate expert level skill in complex problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

  • Prioritize roadmap and backlog for MVPs and quarterly releases continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer and business needs through partnership with the Global process owners and Channel teams (Commercial, CDx, ICP) and in synchronization with their respective deployment plans.

  • Actively track usage and adoption entitlement for your product(s) and use this data as an input to roadmap and feature prioritization as well as training/communication/deployment plans.

  • Support preparation and planning of features and user stories for build teams; updating Aha to reflect the right status to measure progress against organization goals.

  • Pro-actively engage with the UX, Process, Architecture and Engineering team to facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation.

  • Provide feature demonstrations to stakeholders for their feedback.

  • Mentor junior team members; provide technical leadership to TPMs across organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior knowledge and experience of working in headless commerce space to identify and deliver valuable business capabilities to support different personas and channels (sales, customers, channel partners).

  • Experience of working across multiple teams owning different platforms and collaborating with them to ensure smooth delivery and deployments of wing-to-wing solutions.

Technical Expertise:

  • SFDC, Apttus, API, Microservices knowledge is key for success

  • Strong experience working in Agile or Waterfall development

  • Strong business and technical expertise in the underlying design and architecture of enterprise products like SFDC and Apttus or other CPQ, CRM, eCommerce and ERP tools

Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

  • Skilled in breaking down complex problems, documenting problem statements, creating multiple alternative solutions to solve, and estimating efforts.

  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices and make recommendation on best choice based on product capabilities, user needs, cost, and organizational factors.

  • Demonstrates knowledge on IT foundational technical topics, such as micro-services, APIs, data transfer, data streaming, event management, scalability, and security.

  • Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and gain consensus on path forward. Able to communicate a single, synthesized perspective to the development/delivery team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment and/or other solutions/products within DT that could solve the business needs.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make, buy, vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing and/or development/deployment timing decisions.

  • Ability to proactively identify potential risks and create contingency and/or mitigation plans to reduce impact or even prevent issue from occurring.


  • Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
