General Electric HR Generalist in Krakow, Poland

Role Summary:

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for People Leaders and employees to provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. You will execute our key HR initiatives, provide available and responsive internal employee support, and drive HR functional excellence and process improvement. You will also act as the HR manager of record for a client group.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining personnel files, including processing, distributing and filing all new hire paperwork according to the local labor code and data protection regulations

  • Processing changes in employees’ employment lifecycle accordingly to country payroll calendar and global guidelines

  • Collecting completed and signed contracts and file as per local requirements

  • Addressing, responding to and providing solutions to employees’ requests and questions within Poland legal regulations and company guidelines

  • Managing and providing monthly input for payroll process

  • Working with employees and internal payroll department to efficiently process benefits, leave, and any other transactions that impact payroll

  • Managing new hire onboarding and employee departure offboarding

  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of HR policies in line with employment law and best practices, keeping HR handbooks and policies updated

  • Providing dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate

  • Ensuring that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved

  • Leading key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance

  • Conducting HR training and supporting for functional processes like Performance Development, Salary Planning, New Employee Orientation and New Manager Assimilation

  • Assisting with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed

  • Maintaining and protecting confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care

  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees within a complex business environment, including supporting multiple employee populations, matrixes, customers, products or initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent knowledge/experience

  • Strong prior professional work experience, preferably in multinational company

  • Good knowledge of the Polish labor law

  • Fluent Polish, both written and spoken

  • Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements

  • Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational & documentation skills

  • Global mindset and approach – demonstrated ability to manage the complexities of global workforce; develop and implement regional processes and procedures
