The purpose of your role is to operate and train and continuously improve Engineering’s reporting structure, program & project portfolio management and strategy processes in a multi-million budget. Engineering is a global, area developing and executing engineering projects with offices and test plants 450+ employees in Europe, India, China and USA, and this position is located in xx.

Become a vital member of PMO team:

Referring to Lone Østergaard Director for Engineering Operations, your key responsibilities are to ensure transparency, coordination, execution practices and efficiency for Engineering’s activities - all needed to enable planning, budgeting and documentation of costs. You will be essential for prioritizing and decision-making, and you will help to establish a set-up providing full transparency. You will become an important sparring partner to the Director, and you will provide analyses for strategic decision-making. In doing this, you will be a strong influencer,

Your key tasks include;

  • Acting as a project and portfolio management process expert, facilitator and trainer

  • Developing and maintaining systems, tools and reporting used to provide the overall view of actual and planned resource utilization in Engineering

  • Monitoring and executing programs, projects and KPIs to ensure delivery according to plans and commitments including communication across global functions

  • Establishing and operating meeting structures in a lean and inclusive way across departments

  • Ensuring cross project controlling as well as maintenance of associated tools and processes to ensure transparency of engineering resource utilization

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • You have some experience with program and portfolio management in a large international engineering organization.

  • You probably have an BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business administration, international business or equivalent, and you are a trained Project Manager in a fast-paced environments.

  • You have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work through ambiguity to deliver results, and you understand customer needs and marketplace dynamics.

  • It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, giving you the ability to influence, motivate and include your stakeholders. Moreover, you have an analytical approach to your tasks, a strong business understanding and a holistic view. Finally, you master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
