Are you technically expert in Electrical power circuit, control panels, electro-mechanical systems, electromechanical or material physics? Then you might be our new Senior Electrical Engineer!
As Senior Electrical systems engineer, you will be part of Electro-systems sub-function at LM Front End Engineering. Front end engineering is part of LM Engineering & Technology department. As one of senior experts in the team you will be responsible for providing technical expertise for new products, process and development initiatives, while working in cross functional environment.
We believe in technology, problem solving, and technical solutions being implemented with minimum handovers and management layers between technical experts and LM engineering leaders.
You will guide, contribute and do technology development for engineering system specifications and designs guideline, execute business critical New Product Introductions, drive cost competitiveness, and ensure world class system performance. In addition, you will partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment across product design, supply chain, quality, technology team and other stakeholders.
Electrical systems scope in blade includes Electrical circuit and cabinets design, Power Supply & UPS, Auxiliary Cables (Power, Signal and lightning), Sensors, electrical connections, Surge protection devices, power cable sizing and insulation, fuses, contactors, circuit breakers, grounding, etc.
Full ownership and accountability for quality of deliverables, on time delivery, design cost, design requirements, performance, availability, test & validation plans, interface with customer’s turbine, EHS and product safety, weight and general targets defined by the business related to the subsystem.
Drive compliance of components and their use to international codes and standards like IEC, UL, CSA, ISO, CE, CCC, DIN, etc.
Ensure effective design reviews according to defined project gates.
Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure a cohesive and differentiated system technology from design specification to customer fulfillment.
Effective risk management and control
System design guideline and design specification for the design component owners
Guide quality, breadth and depth of technical documentation related to the electrical systems, such as drawings, specifications, etc.
Protect Intellectual Property of strategic technology.

You are robust and have personal drive, and are process oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, and excellent understanding of quality assurance methodology during development and execution.
A MSc degree or PhD in electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Skilled in electrical component design calculations, drawings, specifications and schematics.
+8 years of industry experience, preferred from wind turbine industry.
Practical hands-on design experience in the development, factory, or field operations.
Used to work according to international codes and standards for electrical components and applications.
Used to deal with industrial suppliers (national and international)
Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
Proficient presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Positive mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective problem solving skills: identification, evaluation and solution
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Structured approach to problem solving.
Deep Wind industry expertise with proven results developing & implementing similar systems
Demonstrated system thinking: ability to assess tradeoffs, effectively assess risk, and optimize results
Prior experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs with proven ability delivering complex programs on schedule, within budget, and proven component performance
Proficient interpersonal and leadership skills
