Roles and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

  • Open contracts Utilize ERP system to identify can-build opportunities and potential shortages for the department

  • Proficient with velocity process (updating travelers with status, shortages, issues, etc.)

  • Ability to run and/or analyze computer generated reports and manage Kitting, VMI and/or Min/Max requirements

  • Generate all required shipping paperwork and reports for internal and external shipments as required (knowledge of FAA 145 traceability, etc.)

  • Ability to create, release and cancel WIP jobs while maintaining traceability requirements.

  • Research inventory discrepancies on in-transit and staging reports and work with teams to ensure inventory adjustments are made in ERP system

  • Investigate items showing on Aged/Non-Located Inventory Report.

  • Support reclassification and purge requests to ensure parts are reclassified correctly, and make sure all steps are accounted for when purges are requested.

  • Work with internal customer support teams to expedite and provide commits on finished products

  • Thorough understanding of all material transactions/processes

  • Identify and execute solutions to improve inventory accuracy and lean material flow processes (cycle count, stocking, etc.)

  • Expedite customer requirements across multiple departments, and outside vendors as required to meet schedules

  • Work with internal teams to prioritize and expedite parts

  • Work with Jacksonville Planners to coordinate planning requirements.

  • Support/manage Min/Max with Planners.

  • Identify and lead team initiatives to improve material flow, accuracy, availability of inventory as required.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Attend various production support meetings

  • E-Gate familiarity as required

  • Ability to train less experienced employees

  • Ability to perform additional responsibilities when needed

  • Ability to make good decisions

  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

• High School Diploma or GED

• Up to three (3) years material handling experience in a manufacturing environment

Skill Level:

  • Basic math skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficient ERP skills

  • Proficient written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficient problem-solving skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Basic Lean principles

  • Inventory Management skills

  • Willingness to work overtime including weekends
