General Electric Demand Planning Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Description Summary
Responsible for supporting the demand forecasting and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the Unison business. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing demand forecasts for specific products, market segments and business units. Responsibilities also include leading demand review meetings and collaborating across the sales, customer programs, marketing and sales and supply chain partners. The analyst will utilize tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Spotfire and the Oracle ERP/APS system to build and develop analyses and tools to improve the demand forecasting process. Support S&OP Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and reviews; including the development of presentation content and recommendations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitates the demand forecasting and Sales & Operations planning for the Unison business based on defined schedules and business operational rhythms
Uses internal and external data sources to analyze historical demand patterns, perform statistical analysis and make recommendations for forecast changes as required
Perform root cause analysis for demand changes and forecast accuracy defects to drive improvements
Demonstrate decision making skills to create optimal monthly product/channel forecasts
Enhance forecasts with market and sales intelligence as possible
Connect to customer portals and systems.
Act as the key contact for demand management inquiries and activities for assigned customers, products, markets
Collaborate across the Unison enterprise with critical S&OP functional areas such as: supply chain, operations, sourcing, sales, customer programs and finance
Developing S&OP presentation material and SLT recommendations, presenting content as required
Make decisions within a defined framework.
Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
Explains technical information to others.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in customer service)
Minimum of 3 years of supply chain experience
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Exceptional analytical skills, advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity in dealing with large data sets and transforming data as required to support needs
Experience in Aerospace/Aviation industry
Demand Planning or Production Planning / Supply Chain experience
