Required Qualifications:
Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
Advanced training (Trade School)/certificate) or a minimum of 5 years applicable experience in Machine Shop/tooling
Skill Level:
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Proficient interpretation of blueprints, specifications and drawings
Basic CNC operation programming knowledge
Essential Functions & Responsibilities (definition of job):
Ability to organize, plan and complete short term projects
Performs required rework and production functions
Opens, produces, and repairs a variety of parts for Service Repair and production
Ability to produce a variety of close tolerance parts from drawings or sketches Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
Work from specifications, drawings, process sheets and routers
Organize, plan and execute repairs and/or produce equipment components and/or tooling
Sets up, operates lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders and hand tools to fabricate parts (Ensure speeds, feeds and tooling are correct for the material being used)
Provides support to all departments on tooling related issues
Monitor and perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as checking operating fluid levels, grease and/or lubricate moving parts as required
Replace worn parts and makes adjustments to ensure correct operation within tolerances
Determine metal properties and proper material selections for assigned projects
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with calibration guidelines and procedures
Experience in pneumatics including operation and installation of valves and cylinders
