Required Qualifications:

  • Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

  • Advanced training (Trade School)/certificate) or a minimum of 5 years applicable experience in Machine Shop/tooling

Skill Level:

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient interpretation of blueprints, specifications and drawings

  • Basic CNC operation programming knowledge

Essential Functions & Responsibilities (definition of job):

  • Ability to organize, plan and complete short term projects

  • Performs required rework and production functions

  • Opens, produces, and repairs a variety of parts for Service Repair and production

  • Ability to produce a variety of close tolerance parts from drawings or sketches Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment

  • Work from specifications, drawings, process sheets and routers

  • Organize, plan and execute repairs and/or produce equipment components and/or tooling

  • Sets up, operates lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders and hand tools to fabricate parts (Ensure speeds, feeds and tooling are correct for the material being used)

  • Provides support to all departments on tooling related issues

  • Monitor and perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as checking operating fluid levels, grease and/or lubricate moving parts as required

  • Replace worn parts and makes adjustments to ensure correct operation within tolerances

  • Determine metal properties and proper material selections for assigned projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with calibration guidelines and procedures

  • Experience in pneumatics including operation and installation of valves and cylinders
