General Electric Staff Product Manager – IIoT APM in Istanbul, Turkey
Job Description Summary
As Staff Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Design, Implementation, Maintenance and Upgrades of IIOT data collection platform and related solutions offered for the manufacturing units cross GE Renewable Energy. You will lead the solution architecture design and evolution applying market best practices, using appropriate IIOT and cloud technologies, solutions and components available for IIOT data collection platforms. You will lead API strategy, design, specification and implementation to support data consumption from different sources. You will define the product architecture and roadmap according new requirements and new technologies available to increase performance, scalability and coverage of the product. You will lead external suppliers on the design, implementation and changes on the product by validating each deliverable. You will be collaborating with different project managers from DT organization to provide product functionalities and enhancements according agreed project timelines. You will work closely with GE DT experts from CTO organization to guarantee that product meets GE standards and cybersecurity requirements. You will drive innovation on IIOT and Asset Performance Management domain in DT Supply Chain organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Design, build and maintain IIOT data collection platform for GE factories
Define product strategy and roadmap
Design and implement product architecture, considering best practices in APM – Asset performance management - solutions
Build the Industrial IOT platform leveraging many latest AWS services
Lead a software engineering product team as a product owner to deliver releases and milestones following the agile methodology
Deep dive the IIOT needs from different factories, in partnership with site leaders. Support IIOT technical definitions for assets connections at shopfloor, considering different technologies
Design product architecture from edge to cloud to deliver a scalable data collection platform to be reused for any GE factory, considering performance requirements
Drive changes on product architecture to address waves of improvements and apply innovative technologies
Define API strategy and roadmap: Evangelize the teams in adopting API strategy and create API roadmap
Deliver highly scalable APIs
Understand business requirements for data consumption use cases and design APIs strategy to make data available from Product for the different other applications or data consumption needs
Design and lead the development of generic APIs to increase reusability
Own the releases and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases
Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit
Be technology advisor to the business
Drive innovation on IIOT and Asset Performance Management to GE factories
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent knowledge or experience
Proven professional experience on similar position
Large experience with Enterprise Architecture, IIOT platforms, Cloud Transformation and APIs
Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)
- No more than 10% travelling or less
Proven experience with Enterprise Architecture more related to IIOT platforms, Cloud Transformation and APIs
Experience with IIOT connections using different protocols
Experience with NoSQL DBs and MicroServices
Experience using latest AWS Services (MSK, EKS, Glue, DynamoDB, S3, EMR, etc)
Experience on APIs strategy, design and development
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems and enhance product quality and performance
Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
Skilled in mapping business requirements and translating into process and technical requirements definitions
Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
Challenge the teams to have a good definition and understanding of business use cases and also defined business processes needs are clear and documented
Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
