Job Description Summary
GE Aviation is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Our location, Gebze Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kocaeli, is one of GE Aviation's nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments. Our campus is in Gebze, Kocaeli.
Activities aimed at proving a concept to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. Work in this family typically has the objective of demonstrating through test or analyses the performance and implementation potential of a concept.
Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
Thermal Systems Design activities focused on aircraft engine cooling systems. In this role you will support design, analysis, testing and validation of engine systems, sub-systems, and components in terms of heat transfer and fluid flow requirements using state-of-the-art engineering best practices. You will be involved in NPI and/or support of manufacturing and life cycle of aircraft engines.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements.
Lead solution of design challenges using in depth understanding of relevant physics.
Support definition of appropriate test to meet technical objectives and create test plans.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
Requirements/ Qualifications:
MSc/BSc in Engineering.
Proven experience relevant to heat transfer and fluid mechanics area of expertise.
Fluency in English
