General Electric Supplier Performance Lead - AM Region in Ipojuca, Brazil

Job Description Summary

Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive KPIs with internal and external suppliers

  • Monitor and drive performance with internal and external supplier

  • Handle external supplier claims

  • Upstream quality with product quality team

  • Measure Cost of failures

  • Ensure non-conformances are closed through 8D

  • Support CAPA resolution with upstream quality (material supplier, engineering quality and industrialization quality)

  • Perform SRG audits

  • Perform surveillance audits with external suppliers

  • Perform Surveillance audit, Quality incident audit.

  • Development of Suppliers with Low scores in line with sourcing strategy

  • Conduct the regular meeting with supplier to review the performance.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in engineering with experience in managing suppliers.

  • Robust ’ experience in working in Manufacturing, preferable more than 3 years of experience working in blade manufacturing and 3 years of experience in managing supplier quality

  • Auditing skills as per ISO, TS.

  • Knowledge on the Quality Management systems.

  • Good knowledge of logistics, quality, reliability, quality systems and sourcing business processes.

  • Good Project Management skills.

  • Knowledge of PDCA, SPC, 8D, Poke Yoke and FMEA methodologies.

  • Willingness to take responsibility and drive the solution of complex problems.

  • Must be a team player capable of integrating and work well in a cross functional team.

  • Results driven, with analytical and numeric skills.

  • Ability to work under deadlines.

  • Experience in dealing with International Customers/ Suppliers / Customs.

  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal (key)

  • Local language from Plant where he/she will be is required (interaction with non-English spoken people in the Plant).

  • Able to travel 40% in their work schedule
