General Electric Staff Application Operations Engineer - MS Axapta ERP in Ipojuca, Brazil

Job Description Summary

The Renewable ERP NAM & Brazil DevOps Leader will be responsible all aspects of Operational Support related to the MS ERP Factory (Microsoft Dynamics Axapta 2012 R2/3 and AX 2.5) daily operations with a user focus on guiding processes, providing techno functional solutions working with global teams while supporting financial closing processes specific to BRAZIL , US and Canada.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide day to day Operations support along with financial closing activities.

  • Providing daily direction and priority setting to vendor team with regards to work planning, resource planning, stakeholder alignment and issue resolution.

  • Oversee on more complex incidents and service requests to guide, interpret, and extrapolate, staying process oriented

  • Formulate support plans to achieve overall goals, technical requirements, schedules, & contract commitments for incidents, requests, and changes

  • Support key users on frequent issues/concerns on business processes of Renewable LM business and MS Dynamics Axapta ERP working Business Process Experts (BPE)

  • Provide Closing Coordination – in step with Accounting Operations/Controllership/FP&A serving as main point of contact for issues and timing concerns, monitoring interfaces, and closing activities

  • Streamline the support processes, assist with automation and LEAN activities and problem solving for repeat issues

  • Act as key contact for any specific reporting needs and pointing users to those available, extrapolating requirements, acting as liaison between business and software architects or BI team

  • Consult and assist on data issues and process issues that go along with MS Dynamics Axapta (2012 & 2.5)

  • Act as Localization SME and Compliance expert for various countries and audits when necessary

  • Provide Key Business Process Knowledge to help translate business situations and needs to technical teams

  • Assist with new business requests (intake process and business case scenarios) – connect business requirements to what the true end result or product and how it works once deliverable, including limitations (system vs. process)

  • Contributes to the team and works with direction from Architects or management, beginning to work independently.

  • Be aware of and comply with the Renewable Energy (LM Wind), Quality Policies, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to your job type/position

  • Develop quality culture within team, as applicable, assuring openness for employees to report issues and decision-making based on quality and compliance objectives

  • Support end users with training needs – directing to materials, documenting gaps, improving communications, scheduling training, building adoption plan

  • Support Contractors with deep domain expertise to help with ticket closure and response time!

  • Work with Microsoft ERP Factory Deployment Team to ensure successful transition of new deployments from Hypercare to Day-to-Day Operations.

  • Ensure alignment with local business operational leaders in all areas of ERP support

  • Ensure work delivered by team is consistent with project quality standards and definition

  • Report progress, issues and risks to DevOps Leadership on weekly basis

  • Maintain effective working relationship with finance or projects stakeholders, peers, team members and vendors

  • Serve as a facilitator to resolve complex process and IT issues to ensure committed SLAs are met

  • Prepare, present, and participate in various meetings with various IT and Finance leadership teams on program, process and system recommendations

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting and/or related technical, andMicrosoft Dynamics AX2012/Dynamics 365 certification

  • Robust experience in hands-on experience leading and implementing large scale programs or ERP initiatives

  • Experience in ERP Techno-Functional and Business Process Knowledge.

  • Demonstrated experience in X++ and MorphX, AIF, Warehouse, mobile device, SSRS Reports, .Net and MS SQL Server and Integrations ( govt portals, systems)

  • Demonstrated ERP and Support Operational experience

  • High Energy & Self Motivated

  • Ability to Read, Write and Speak in English and Portuguese languages

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills

  • Expertise in ERP Applications business and technical architecture/standards (AIM, API’s, etc.)
