General Electric Service Program Manager in Houston, Texas

Role Summary:Responsible for developing and driving a common service product strategy across the organization.

This role is located in Houston, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that both hardware and Software systems are in place and functioning to support key stakeholders

  • Work closely with USCAN and Global partners to integrate seamlessly with related IT systems and strategies, leveraging platform scalabilities

  • Ensure the implementation of product specific service requirements through the New Product Introduction (NPI) program, as part of the verification and validation phases

  • Support Field Management Instructions (FMI) deployment in its initial phases, to confirm their overall quality (content, documentation) and good field acceptance before general deployment

  • Ensure global service team program awareness, inputs, and involvement in all NPI programs

  • Drive key growth programs in order to achieve yearly operating targets

  • Define strategic operational methodologies to improve processes and capabilities

  • Implement long-term solutions to maximize opportunities

  • Develop, lead, engage, and inspire individuals throughout the organization

  • Partner with other leaders to ensure productivity/liquidation targets are met and to ensure deep understanding of functions within organization which impact program

  • Ensure that projects/programs are delivered with a commitment to meet all regulatory, legal, and environmental principles and guidelines

  • Responsible for ensuring that functional strategies and execution support the organization's goals of on time, on budget implementations

  • Assists with project support (e.g., project initiation, transactional support)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field of study and a minimum seven years of experience in an operations leadership role (e.g., supply chain, manufacturing, materials)

  • Experience leading a large, global, and matrixed organization (preferred leadership in program, project, and/or manufacturing environments)

  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate cross functional teams to achieve business goals

  • Demonstrated strong executive presence and clear thinking

  • Readily and naturally builds close relationships with peers and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen

  • Passionate, energetic, and authentic leadership

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with employee and customers at all levels

  • Exceptional skills as a change agent and process oriented individual

  • Ability to resolve complex issues within functional area and/or area of expertise

  • Ability to develop and execute priorities and approaches to meet objectives
