Role Summary:

The Senior Tax Operations Manager will report to the Tax Operations Leader and will assist will all aspects of tax operations including tax controllership, tax return preparation, and technical accounting. The Assistant Tax Operations will aim to ensure that all tax filing and reporting requirements are met and comply fully and with the highest integrity with the laws around the world.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Tax Operations Manager, you will:

  • Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting, including the use of technology enabled solutions

  • Help integrate the tax provision and compliance processes of all of the BHGE entities

  • Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting, including the use of technology enabled solutions

  • Help integrate the tax provision and compliance processes of all of the BHGE entities

  • Assist in quarterly preparation and review of global provision

  • Assist with responses to external and internal audit teams

  • Partner to implement finance initiatives, drive simplification and process improvements, and support standardization of best practices.

  • Manage relationship with controllership and global operations to both assist them with their tax reporting obligations and to maintain a strong control framework for tax compliance and filings

  • Lead Tax Technical Accounting and work with the Finance Technical Accounting Leader to develop positions and assess the impacts of financial accounting changes

  • Support due diligence and acquisition integration

  • Provide support on ad hoc business and tax planning initiatives

  • Develop training's on US GAAP to help train our global team

  • Assist in analyzing the impacts of U.S. Tax Reform

  • Work with the External Tax Reporting Leader, Consolidations Leader, Tax FP&A, and the product company/regional Tax Controllers

  • Manage the global compliance calendar working with the appropriate regional and product company teams

  • Manage return to provision processes Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in tax operations Desired Characteristics:

  • CPA or Juris Doctorate from an accredited university

  • Expertise in tax accounting principles (ASC 740, FIN 48, SOX 404) and US tax rules (domestic and international)

  • Excellent communication skills, including strong competence in explaining complex tax issues, opportunities, and risks to non-tax experts in a clear and concise manner

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a global team

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, positive attitude, good analytical skills, and ability to work within a matrixed organization

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems / applications (HFM, Oracle, SAP etc.), Excel
