General Electric Senior Staff Technical Product Manager -Distribution Center ERP Lead in Houston, Texas

Job Description Summary

In this role you will use your deep Oracle eBusiness Suite domain acumen, and project management experience, to play the role of Oracle Supply chain architect , on-site warehouse leader and lead the digital transformation of key initiatives with the Gas Power Aero Services ERP (ECHO). The Oracle ERP Supply chain domain leader is the Digital Technology (DT) owner of processes and solutions across supply chain and logistics modules of the Echo ERP like Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Value Chain Planning, Order Management, OTM and Procurement.

You would partner directly with the functional counterparts to set goals & objectives on business outcomes, agree on supporting Oracle ERP capabilities and critical design decisions, as well as execution of major deployments and continuous improvement priorities.

For reference, GE Power Aero organizations produces and service aero-derivative gas turbines that is a lighter-weight version of a regular gas turbine. aero-derivative gas turbines are repackaged aviation engine used for land application requiring smaller power.

Job Description

Role overview:

This position will be responsible for delivering business value through critical projects to simplify and streamline ERP performance and processes. Engaging with business stakeholders, driving timely and thorough project delivery, and working in a matrix DT organization are all part of this role. Additionally, it will include influencing and partnering with various stakeholders for integrated and auxiliary systems to ensure compatibility and holistic solutions. Ultimately, as a Supply Chain ERP architect this role is accountable for delivery of agreed Oracle ERP capabilities and their deployment, in a way that enables functional stakeholders to ensure value realization from ERP

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your deep experience with Oracle eBusines suite of products in the supply chain management domain, as part of your design leadership

  • Lead the Design and Configuration of WMS, Inventory Management, Value Chain Planning, OM, PO and other supply chain planning modules in the Echo ERP

  • Custodian of ERP solution for the supply chain modules described above

  • Own future ERP upgrade strategy – Like evaluate & advice Oracle Fusion cloud upgrade for Echo ERP

  • Partner with Legal Entity transformation team and lead Aero ERP solution changes to ensure mergers and separations

  • As On-site Warehouse IT Leader, partner with Business team for seamless operations , process optimization and collaborate with teams for resolving any issues,

  • Collaborate with business, functional partners and technology leadership to determine strategic and tactical roadmap of ERP Digital Capabilities that maximize the impact towards Hoshin Kanri outcomes.

  • Drive Oracle ERP landscape simplification by collaborating with value stream leaders as well as D&A (Data and Analytics), Enterprise Architecture and Data Science when needed

  • Provide active participation in lean improvements across the whole landscape and balance execution of requirements with landscape simplification

  • Help define and prioritize Oracle ERP capabilities targeted to deliver most business value across the supply chain management process stream.

  • Lead and coordinate internal and vendor resources executing various projects across multiple projects

  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.

  • Partner with leadership of technical and functional teams external to the organization to ensure enough support and engagement

  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting

  • Guide project teams through decision and pivot points as required

  • Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering

  • 8-10 Years of IT professional experience along with established leadership credentials across ERP product lines.

  • Experience in Oracle/ERP

Desired Characteristics:

  • 8+ years of professional experience with Oracle e-Business Suite

  • Project Management experience in an Oracle ERP implementation environment

  • Track record of driving IT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes

  • Prior experience with GE or GE Aero is considered a plus

  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Technical Experience

  • Experience with at least four full life-cycle Oracle ERP projects (planning, analysis, design, build, test, deploy)

  • Deep experience with Oracle Supply chain Management suite of products (OM, INV, WMS, ASCP, PO, OTM etc.)

  • Experience working with Oracle ERP with a global configuration and with a highly integrated architecture, considered a plus
