General Electric Project Manager - Medical Imaging Devices in Houston, Texas

Job Description Summary

GE Healthcare has a great opportunity for an Installation Project Manager to support our Imaging Equipment business in the Austin and surrounding area of Texas. With your experience in construction projects, you'll own the implementation process for installing our larger imaging equipment in hospitals and other care centers starting from the sales order review through training customers on their new devices. This is a customer facing position - candidates are required to live in the Austin, TX area.

Job Description


  • Act as the primary contact between GE Healthcare and the customer on all things related to installation.

  • Drive customer satisfaction and process productivity during the installation process.

  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues, which could affect customer satisfaction and GE operational targets.

  • Work cross functionally with sales and service teams while owning the project management and implementation process for GE Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in Project Management; or an associate degree and minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple priorities to meet scheduled completion dates and customer expectations while based in your home office.

  • Ability to work with and influence team members to achieve mutual goals.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel regularly including overnight when required.

Desired Characteristics

  • Formal coursework in project management and experience in construction or working with the building trades.

  • Experience with large-scale project management requirements.

  • Demonstrated customer service experience working in a clinical environment and familiarity with GE Healthcare products.

  • Proficient with design tools such as AutoCAD and Magic Plan.

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Six Sigma certification.
