Job Description Summary

The Aero Alliance Product Management Leader will lead the Aero Alliance Product Management Strategy for the LM2500, LM6000, LMS100 and LM9000 Platforms, leading a global team of product managers on new product introduction, sustaining engineering and services readiness strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead team of Platform Leaders, developing and retaining key talent to drive cohesive product line strategy (Flange-to-Flange Engines, Repairs, Cost Out and other Services) and customer offerings for the respective product line, driving direction in all matters related to margin, $/IB, IB share; set direction and implement cross functional improvement plans to meet the committed business plan as one team

  • Drive annual Multi-Generation Product Plan across oil & gas and power segments for Aeroderivative product lines with close collaboration with Baker Hughes, GE Gas Power and GE Aviation

  • Establish KPI’s and critical operating rhythms to support timely and critical decision-making through existing fora (PCB) with GE Aviation and Channels

  • Drive continuous improvement on all engineering, supply chain and Aero Alliance commercial positioning of products, including Manufacturing Support, Field Support, Reliability Availability and Manufacturability (RAM) Programs

  • Partner with Program Management function to ensure purchase orders in place, program plan development and overall governance supporting program execution

  • Support various operational needs such as budget & resources for GEA

  • Understand the product marketplace; know the competition and the product strengths and weaknesses to define the multi- generational product plan (MGPP) for the Aeroderivative product line ((Flange-to-Flange Engines, Repairs, Cost Out and other Services)

  • Engage in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and drive NPI execution team to deliver on time and on budget - work closely with Program Management team to track costs, on-time delivery and any technical and commercial topics related to Aero

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Manufacturing from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a Product Management, Productivity/Product Cost Out, Finance, Manufacturing/Repair Operations, Sourcing or Engineering environment

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic business environment

  • Experience that demonstrates technical knowledge and understanding of Gas Turbine systems – Aeroderivatives is an advantage

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Product Management or Commercial Functions

  • Self-directed with demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills

  • Displays good interpersonal skills, and able to communicate well with internal and external customers

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification

  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives

  • PC Proficiency

  • Develops a strong team and breeds positive moral

  • Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives

  • Understands products, capabilities and limitations in sufficient detail to be able to develop offerings that meet customer needs

  • Communicates the business vision effectively in an open and consistent manner

  • Encourages input from all members of the team

  • Anticipates customer needs and ensures that they are met

  • Measures processes and performance through the customer's eyes

  • Communicates messages clearly and concisely
