Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is seeking a Product Line Manager, Wireline Deployment Devices for Well Intervention. This role will focus on the commercial strategy for all wireline setting tools. This role manages a continuous process of improving and optimizing the product line by working to streamline and rationalize product offerings, successfully introducing new products, maximizing profitability of product portfolio, and being the key liaison on products and technology between operations, regional application engineering groups, sales, manufacturing, marketing and our customers. The individual will also be required to represent the product line and BHGE in outside discussions & technical forums and handles special projects as required

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Strong business acumen to drive a strategic vision to grow a product line in a wide variety of environments and meeting our client’s demands.

  • Extensive business skills necessary to maximize gross margins and improve operational efficiency.

  • Extensive knowledge of business plans, customer requirements, and market demands.

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical marketing plans for introduction of business into new and existing markets.

  • Drive a strategic vision to grow a product line in a wide variety of environments and meeting our client’s demands.

  • Assess trends in industry, emerging technologies, and competition.

  • Provide insight into merger and acquisition opportunities to enhance product portfolio.

  • Drive all facets of product development (idea conception, justification, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, product launch, sales, and product life cycle)

  • Boost innovation indicators through the development of new product revenue streams

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, engineering technology or business.

  • 8 + years engineering, operations, or marketing experience

  • Direct experience with engineering, operations, sales and marketing of North America unconventional wireline deployed systems

  • Experience related to ballistic and non-ballistic systems utilized within wireline deployed systems.

  • Understanding of North America competitive landscape within unconventional wireline deployed systems and ballistics.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize effectively.

  • Valid passport is required for travel

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Desired Characteristics:

  • Travel locally and to international locations in support of product line is expected

  • Provide after-hours product line support as required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP

  • Commercial experience including pricing

  • Good working knowledge of mechanical tool design & engineering drawings
