Job Description Summary

The NU HDGT Operations Leader is responsible for simplification, standardization, process and procedure maintenance, productivity, and team collaboration across functions and regions to enable projects executions and fulfillment excellence. This role will focus on rigorous project review rhythm, and achievement of key project milestones. Additionally, key priorities will include enhancing complex projects capabilities, cost out, reducing risk and accelerating operational performance. The NU HDGT Operations Leader will ensure full integration between the estimating, cost control, planning/scheduling, and risk management functions within projects.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation of the operating rhythm across global projects/programs to ensure consistent process compliance.

  • Leading & owning weekly and monthly progress Bowler Charts/Reports/presentations; assisting in establishing / delivering global consistency of formal reporting formats on project progress for the clients and stake holders

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of workload forecasting process and implement LEAN Principles to drive cost out initiatives and improve major KPIs

  • Anticipate, plan, execute and measure operational and business risk mitigation including those impacting the overall global project portfolio

  • Lead cross functional & Supply Chain prioritization of contract requirements, drive process adherence and team coordination between functions and regions

  • Work with region teams to identify, develop and communicate best practices and sharing; furthermore lead implementation of applicable EHS, operational and quality procedures, systems and processes and partner with the ITO team to Implement best practices during the ITO phase and set strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or equivalent degrees

  • 10 years minimum experience in operations, project management, services, and finance - relevant work experience in project management/or project controls management in an industrial setting is preferred.

Desired Characteristics

  • PMP certified

  • XLP, PMLP, and/or Corporate Audit Staff graduate

  • Demonstrated success in change management and organizational transformation

  • Strong leadership and Influencing skills; experience interfacing with customers in a demanding environment

  • Familiar with power generation equipment design, manufacturing and installation

  • Demonstrated success in prior project or site management involving financial responsibility

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification

  • Understanding of Gas Power business, with preferred experience in strategic planning and complex project management execution

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong operational experience with a proven track record of demonstrated accountability and ownership.
