Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for Mechanical Assembler/Tester for 2nd shift at our Navigation, Houston TX facility. Work in a team environment that continually strives for improvement to meet customer needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Know and practice safe work behaviors in Oilfield products and services.

  • Aptitude for mechanical and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to review blueprints and follow processes required to meet customer, API, and BHGE quality requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with assembling and testing a plus (functional and hydraulic).


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1-year experience in an industrial environment with assembling and/or testing

  • Ability to work second shift from 2:30 - 10:30pm and overtime as project needs (Training will be on first shift)

  • Learn, work with, and participate as a team to improve processes and develop others around them.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required within safety regulations.

  • Experience with computer and some Microsoft programs.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in an industrial environment with assembling and/or testing of hydraulic systems.

  • Experience with high pressure systems and hazards associated with them.
