Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Intelligent Production Systems (IPS) Product Line Reliability Engineer at the Center for Technology Innovation in Houston, TX. This IPS Product Line Reliability Engineering - Reliability Champion is responsible to manage & drive Field Incident Management Process, RCA and CA Implementation. Lead, escalate and support Incident reviews with Product Line and Geomarkets. Own and support Geomarkets reliability data quality and product line performance - MaPS/FRACAS.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands on driving and monitoring Global Incident Management Process for flawless RCA & CA execution within Product Line, Manufacturing, AMO and Operation.

  • Champion Proactive in Reliability Efforts for C&WI required PL.

  • Lead investigations for Incidents with PL and SME

  • Support & drive RCA and CA data quality and compliance

  • Initiate activities that drive continuous improvement in Service and product delivery as measured by key performance indicators

  • Support and Share of best Practices and lessons learned within Product Lines and Geos

  • Support and lead Product Line procedures, documentation and technical bulletins.


  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering – Preferably in Mechanical Engineering

  • 8+ years of engineering experience

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience with High Degree of Expertise and Operational experience with Intelligent Production Systems Completions

  • Excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy to interface with various internal and external customers

  • Advanced problem solving and project management skills

  • Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills

  • Must be action oriented results

  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude and team player

  • Computer literate – Excel, Visio, Power Point

  • Expected travel frequency of 25-30%

  • Preferred candidates to be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 2+ years of IPS field engineering and/or design experience strongly preferred

  • BHGE Completions experience strongly preferred

  • Knowledge in Root cause Analysis

  • Cause Mapping or any Cause Effect analysis method knowledge
