General Electric HCA Encompass Program Leader in Houston, Texas

Job Description Summary

In this role, the HCA Encompass Program Leader will be responsible for coordinating all activities and stakeholders related to any Encompass installation at an HCA site. This includes identifying and isor all HCA Encompass installations. This role will coordinate activites between the customer and the installation team and will ensure standardization of the install across all HCA sites. This role will be the main customer interface with GEHC’s largest and most complex customer. This person will be working closely with the internal HCA commercial and strategic teams to communicate program details and updates. This role will serve as project manager, technical expert and facilitator during all HCA install and support projects. This role will be expected to relentlessly drive customer success while improving the efficiency of the associated processes.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Identify site-level and/or division-level customer stakeholders and project liaisons, and all GE site-level and/or regional-level internal stakeholders impacted by any Encompass activity

  • Coordinate between customer, Encompass Installation Team and local GE team to plan and execute new Encompass implementations

  • Track all Encompass installations at every HCA site, and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the type of implementation and the customer’s specific objective for each instance

  • Track through completion all open action items from any Equipment Shared Services or Surgical Symphony pilots

  • Lead all HCA-related Encompass meetings and ensure communication to all extended teams

  • Ensure smooth handoff between the Encompass Installation Team and site-level support teams

  • Track, manage and acts as first responder to any HCA questions or concerns

  • Work with Solutions Delivery team to support the rollout and ongoing viability of Encompass-related solutions at an HCA site

  • Provide input for continuous improvement of delivery process utilizing LEAN methodology reducing waste, improving quality and speed of install

  • Provide structure and governance to hold team members accountable on all project activities

  • Facilitate voice of customer from users for enhancements and health of the Encompass install base

  • Provide commercial support as needed

  • Travel to HCA customer sites will be required

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking and project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience working in a hospital environment

  • Demonstrated understanding of medical equipment movement within a clinical care setting

  • Ability to obtain unrestricted Hospital Vendor Credentialing

  • Strong customer interaction skills and customer focus

  • Demonstrated an understanding of Wi-Fi fundamentals

  • Self-starter: ability to coordinate activities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple priorities to meet scheduled project completion dates and customer expectations.

  • Clearly communicate and interface with Biomedical Technicians, Customers and Internal GE stakeholders.

Desired Characteristics

  • Design and support experience with real-time locating systems (RTLS)

  • Experience working in hospital environment as biomedical technician or field engineer

  • Familiar with hospital departments, medical equipment and it’s uses

  • Understanding of standard hospital policies and processes

  • Ability to read and interpret Computer-Aided Drawings (CADs)

  • Demonstrated strong networking skills; Cisco Certification/License

  • Knowledge of Windows Server

  • LEAN training and experience driving change
