General Electric Cardiology Account Manager in Houston, Texas
Job Description Summary
This role will be responsible for advancing and promoting the sale of 2 of our premier Cardiac Imaging agents: Optison and Vispaque. The role will cover the Houston/San Antonio markets selling primarily to Cardiologists. This is a purposely built, high performing sales team that works quite well together. GE has invested heavily into this space.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects
Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups. Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process or customers. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
3+ years of relevant and progressive sales experience, in a medical, healthcare, technical, pharmaceutical or Life Sciences field preferred
Experience selling into hospitals, contracting, and buying/billing products
Cardiology Modality Sales Experience
Imaging Modality Sales Experience
Knowledge of Interventional and Cardiac Imaging
Proven track record of sales success developing, organizing and implementing sales plans, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and penetrating new accounts/markets/competitive through proficiency in prospecting, lead qualification, sales and negotiations
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives while operating in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Demonstrated selling skills, analytical skills and pharmaceutical industry acumen
