General Electric Production Associate in Horten, Norway

Role Summary:The production associate may have responsibilities including manufacturing, assembly, system and final testing, packaging and shipping of products.

Essential Responsibilities:Reads and follows work procedures and schematics or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed

Performing system / product tests

Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets

Maintains daily production output

Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures

May participate in quality control inspections

Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency

Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams

Comply with EHS regulations and policies

Qualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma

2 or more years of experience from system- and/or product testing

Ability to read and communicate fluently in English

Good skills in PC and Office programs like word and excel

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specification.

Demonstrated ability to detail and quality-minded work habits

Desired Characteristics:Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Self driven

2 or more years of technical education

Certificate of apprenticeship

2 or more years of related manufacturing experience
