Job Description Summary
The ultrasound systems designed and developed in Horten have leading edge technology and are among the very best cardiovascular ultrasound scanners in the world. As a mechanical design engineer you will take vital part in the development process contributing to the high performance and quality of our systems. Every day over 200.000 patients are getting diagnosis and improved life quality from echo scans performed by systems developed in Horten.
We want you to be a part of our great team and to participate to take patient care to the next level. As a member of our team you will do design work on mechanical support structures and plastic parts with high requirement to surface finish.
Work includes (but is not limited to):
Mechanical CAD design on new product releases
Improving quality and fixing issues with existing designs
Contributing on new system industrial designs
Test and verification of prototypes
Perform changes on assembly drawings, bill-of-materials and run change notifications
High focus on design for manufacturability
Msc/Bsc degree in mechanical engineering
Experience in and solid knowledge of using Solid Works or other CAD software
Good English proficiency, both oral and written
Knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques
Experience with plastic and sheet metal design
Prototype modifications and rework hands on experience
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own tasks
Good Norwegian skills
