In the HW Design Engineer position you will work with development, characterization, debugging and testing of the electronics inside an ultra-compact ultrasound systems. You will be working face to face with the team members in Horten as well as being virtually connected to our world-wide joint team. Together we have world leading knowledge and experience of ultrasound products and continue to challenge ourselves to improve healthcare products helping people in the moments that matter.

Design, test and verification of state-of-the-art ultrasound transmitters, ultra-low-noise receivers and high efficiency DC/DC converters.
Design of new analog and digital electrical boards, circuits, components and interconnects
Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Perform debugging and problem solving
Implement changes for obsolete components in installed base products.
Ensure reliability, performance and delivery from design start through supplier relationships during manufacturing.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Relevant work experience is considered an advantage but not a must
Good English proficiency, both oral and written
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Circuit design and simulation tool experience
Experience from design for test and manufacturability
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own tasks
