GE Vingmed Ultrasound is a world leader in medical ultrasound imaging. For our handheld products and realtime-3D ultrasound probes we are seeking a digital ASIC design engineer to join our internal design team to further develop our state-of-the-art products.
You will work together with our global team of ultrasound system experts to implement the needed functionality in the digital domain. This includes ultrasound signal processing, beamforming architectures and system setup, control and interfacing.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Designing the digital part of our ultrasound mixed-signal ASICs.
Design activities involving VHDL coding and simulation, FPGA and/or processor interfacing (DDR RAM, RGMII, USB, SPI, etc), and digital components in general.
FPGA code design and testing
Support UVM verification activities.
Support physical design activities (Synthesis, Floorplanning, Place & Route etc).
Supporting Installed Base of products
Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Ensure reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Demonstrated circuit design experience in Digital and/or Mixed Signal disciplines, preferably ASIC design and/or FPGA development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Digital ASIC design and simulation tool experience
High speed and low power digital design experience
Experience working with digital backend activities
Labview experience Matlab experience
Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
Demonstrated self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
