For our handheld products and realtime-3D ultrasound probes we are seeking a digital ASIC design and verification engineer to join our internal design team to further develop our state-of-the-art products. Job Description

The position is primarily responsible for design, simulation and test environments for ASICs powering innovative handheld ultrasound products. You will work together with our global team of ultrasound system experts to implement the needed functionality in the digital domain. This includes ultrasound signal processing, beamforming architectures and system setup, control and interfacing.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Designing the digital part of our ultrasound mixed-signal ASICs using VHDL

  • System and sub-system modelling and test bench development using UVM

  • Creating test plans and test cases for digital design blocks

  • Create test frameworks using Matlab and Modelsim for validation of design concepts

  • Working closely with the ASIC designers to identify critical verification scenarios

  • Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital ASIC design and simulation tool experience

  • UVM experience

  • Matlab experience

  • System Verilog experience

  • Labview experience

  • FPGA/VHDL experience

  • Simulation in Modelsim/Questasim

  • High speed digital test setup experience

  • Demonstrated self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

  • Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
